Moon

Moon is the natural satellite for our earth. It is also the 5th largest moon in the universe that we have known till date. The Moon rotates round the earth and the sun. Due to the gravitation influence from the moon we have tides in the oceans. Moon also causes the lengthening of the day due to the pull. Moon is the second brightest object in the space next to the sun. Due to this we can see the solar eclipse. It is thought that the moon has to be formed around 4.5 billion (450 crore years before). It is also accepted widely that it has been formed due to the collision of an object over earth's surface. Moon is also the only object where the man has set foot other than earth. The recent investigations has confirmed that there is water in the moon.
